Christmas in Old Slides Scanned

I am currently on a cruise and wanted to create a post to schedule to say Happy Holidays and Happy Christmas and to post some old family slides that I scanned.  It is amazing what these old slides look like when they are scanned – the color is incredible from slides.  Check out these slides from the 1960s of me, my mother and my one sister – youngest sister hadn’t been born yet.  Happiest of holidays to you all.  More travel posts coming soon and fresh from a cruise.

  1. How did you scan them? Yourself or at a photo place? We have literally hundreds of slide carousels from when we were kids and want to preserve some but don’t know where to start. You have inspired us! Merry Christmas!

    1. It is pretty easy once you start. I bought an Epson Perfection V500 photo scanner and it had an attachment for negatives and slides. Best thing ever and so fun Sharing them with friends and family in the photos. So many memories and so easy once you get started so just start. The scanner is pretty cheap I got mine I think two years ago for under 100 dollars US. Enjoy and have a great Christmas. Thanks for writing and I hope you do it. Cheers. Wayne.
